2. Call 639-2823 or 639-2824 to schedule a time for an engineer to look
at the site.
Area Lights
3. You will be required to sign an area lighting contract–three
years for overhead and five years for underground. After the contract is
signed and the light is installed, the rental fees will be added to your
next bill. A charge of 40% of the balance will be charged if the light
is no longer wanted before the contract expires, except for the reason
of moving from the residence.
4. Lights can only be installed on City electric poles.
5. Costs
a. Area light/month–$10.00 (175 w only) to $16.87 (for pole and
underground)
b. 400 w flood light/month–$29.08.
c. 1000 w flood light/month--$39.12.

a. 175 w mercury $10.00
b. 400 w metal halide flood $29.08
c. 400 w sodium flood $29.08
d. 1000 w metal halide flood $39.12
7. Associated charges
a. Underground $4.30 or a one-time payment of $216.24/pole
b. Wood pole $2.57

10. Request for overhead to underground service conversion
a. Contact Electric Engineering to set up meeting with customer at site.
b. Cost: $350–can be reduced by $175 if serviced size is increased.
Cost per linear foot is $2.18. Normal cost to customer is between $500
and $700 for the City’s part of the work.
