Time Extensions
Bills are due and payable when received. The last day
to pay the bill without penalty is the due date printed on it. The following
day, a 2.5% late penalty is charged to the account. Ten days later, delinquency
action can begin, including service interruption. If a residential customer
is unable to pay a bill by the due date, the person listed on the account
may visit the office to make an agreement for payment of the bill
at a later date. Photo identification is required and payment must, as
a general rule, be completed before the next bill would fall due. If the
account holder is unable to visit the office, he or she may authorize someone
else to make a payment agreement. Please call the office at 252-639-2750
for details.

are automatically deducted from customer’s bank account on the bill
due date. In order to participate, a customer must have a checking account,
