History
The City of New Bern Fire-Rescue Honor/Color Guard began like
most others in the fire service. There was a need to attend to our own
with the loyalty, respect, and honor of the fire service. Our first event
was in October, 1999 and they have been busy ever since, providing a wide
variety of services to assist our community and brotherhood. Currently, a team of nine men volunteer for this prestigious position; each
capable of performing in any position within the team.
Services Provided
Funeral Services, Funeral Casket Guard, Bell Services,
Playing of Taps, Opening Ceremonies, Civic Events, and Parades.
Equipment Available
Bugle, Snare Drum, Flags, Pike Poles, M-1 Rifles
(will not be loaned out), Axes, and Bell.
