Fire-Rescue - Volunteer Division - From Deputy Chief Weems

Welcome to the New Bern Fire-Rescue Volunteer Division. Our division consists of a Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief, two Captains, and three Lieutenants. Our primary function is fire suppression, but we also enjoy being a part of all aspects of New Bern Fire-Rescue. Volunteer firefighters participate in fire education, Safety Officer Program, Safety Troupe, and they man stations with career firefighters.

Our division meets the first Monday of each month to conduct normal business. We train with career firefighters the second, third, and fourth Mondays of each month.

We are very proud of our division. The enjoyment each of us receives from contributing to our community through volunteer service is a fulfilling reward.
