Lieutenant Godette started as a Patrol Officer with the New Bern Police Department in 1988. For her work in the Narcotics Division from 1989 through 1996, Lieutenant Godette was recognized for her state and federal OCEDTF anti-drug work by the DEA, ATF, and numerous state law enforcement agencies. During her time as a Narcotic Investigator, she worked as a member of the Neuse River Drug Task Force and Multi-Jurisdiction Drug Task Force.
She was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in February 1996 and became a first line supervisor in the Patrol Division. She was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in September 2000 and served as the District 1 Commander for the Operations Division. She then served as Assistant Commander for the Criminal Investigations Unit until March 2006. Lt. Godette then served as District 2 Commander until January 2007 and was later Commander of the Special Operations Division until April 2008.
Lieutenant Godette is currently serving as the Office of Professional Standards Commander. |
