2013 Swimming Lessons

New Bern Parks & Recreation Aquatic Center will be offering an American Red Cross Swim Lesson Program with classes scheduled to begin soon. This program will cover safety topics and basic swimming and water exploration skills. Lessons will be for non-swimmers and beginner swimmers.
Registration starts on 5/06/13 at Parks & Rec Admin Office, located at: 1620 National Ave. or at the Aquatics Center on Laura Lane for City residents and 5/20/13 for non-city residents. Cost is $40 for City residents and $70 for non-city residents.
If you have children between the ages of 3-12, this is a good way for them to learn, grow and have fun in an aquatic environment.

Pool Reservation Information
**Reservations for the 2013 swimming season are now being accepted. Please call Parks & Recreation Administration for more information at: 639-2900 or 639-2901

Hours available: 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. only
Fees: Resident $60/hr and non-resident $75/hr. There is a 2-hour minimum.
The completion of a reservation form does not confirm the reservation.
**Pool reservations are dependant upon staff availability and payment of fees.
*Minimum of three (3) staff members assigned to rentals at $12/hr. per staff member in addition to the rental fee.
Morning hours from 9 am-12 noon are set aside for programs, camps, clubs, groups, organizations, etc by reservation only. All regular fees apply.
