Youth Basketball

For ages 5-18, this program teaches kids the value of teamwork, as well as basic dribbling, passing and shooting skills. Evaluations will begin November 10th.

Girls Basketball

This program is for girls in the 3rd through 8th grade.  New players who did not play in the league last year must be present at the Evaluation Night (date to be announced).

Practices will start the first week of November and games will be played on Saturdays at the West New Bern Recreation Center begining the first Saturday in December.

New Bern Babe Ruth Fall Baseball

This baseball league, for ages 13 to 15.  Registration begins in July, and the season starts in August through October.  Call Craig Lewis at:  671-0026 or Kelli Winter at:  672-8423.

Cal Ripken Sunday School Fall Baseball League
This league is for kids interested in learning and playing the game of baseball.  Practice begins in August and the season will begin in September and end in late October.  Games will be played on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons. 

If you have a 7-12 year old child who is interested in playing. registration forms may be picked up at West New Bern Recreation Center or Stanley White Recreation Center. If you are interested in fielding a team, call Mike Swindell at 571-4335.

Punt, Pass & Kick

Come out and put your football skills to the test. Compete in distance and accuracy punting, passing and kicking on the gridiron.

Pop Warner Cheerleading

Pop Warner Cheerleading is a Little Scholars Program designed to improve the physical fitness, self-image, and health for children ages 5 - 13.  Children can benefit from participation by learning the concepts of teamwork and cooperation through routines that consist of tumbling and jumps.  Call Gus Hill at: 639-2908 for more information.

New Bern Pop Warner Booster Club

A club designed to promote the prosperity of the New Bern Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading programs, and to assist with post-season play through various fund-raising projects, this organization meets monthly. 

CRC Pep Club

Community Resource Center staff and youth will attend local sporting events.  Join us as we cheer for our favorite teams and players.

This program, for boys ages 14 and under, develops and enhances baseball skills.  We not only teach the basics, we help improve upon current abilities.

Cal Ripken Sunday School Baseball League

These teams are sponsored by area churches for youth ages 8 - 12.  If you are interested in fielding a team, or signing up your child.  The league will begin play in late March.

This is an instructional baseball league for youth ages 5 - 7 sponsored by local churches.  There will be a coach's meeting on February 6th at West New Bern Recreation Center.

New Bern Parks and Recreation Girl's Softball

For girls ages 8 - 14, this program teaches the sport of softball using slow and fast pitch techniques. 

Spring Tennis Lessons

This program is for ages 7 and up.  These lessons will teach the basics of tennis through fun & games. Youth will learn proper volleying techniques, and how to play the game.  

Lacrosse

Come and join the fun while playing the fastest sport on two feet!  Our girls and boys Lacrosse program teaches the fundamentals of passing, catching, scooping, and stick control while emphasizing teamwork and physical fitness. 

Hook A Kid on Golf Girls

Church League Softball

Calling all Churches!  Start organizing your Church Softball team today.  The season starts in April and lasts through mid-July.  A coach's meeting will be held in February at the West New Bern Recreation Center.

Season kicks off April 29th and runs through June 24th   Fun can be had by all while promoting health and fitness.  Ages 17 and up.  Teams are limited to eight man roster with a maximum of 10 teams participating.
