Seniorcise

New Bern Parks & Recreation Department is holding its Low-Impact Seniorcise Class on Mondays 8:30 am to 10:00 am at West New Bern Recreation Center at 1225 Pinetree Drive, New Bern, NC.  All Senior’s are welcomed to come out for a morning of fun & exercise.  The class caters to the needs of the senior adults and integrates low- impact exercise and fun. Youth Basketball

 

New Bern Parks and Recreation Department is beginning Youth Basketball Registration for boys and girls ages 5 -18. Early registration will begin October 12th and runs through November 20st. Participants may register at the West New Bern Recreation Center or the Stanley White Recreation Center. A $35.00 early registration fee will be charged until November 20th and $40.00 after that.  A copy of the child’s birth certificate is required. Volunteer coaches are needed for all age groups. Toys for Tots Program

Do you or someone you know need assistance with Christmas? If you have a child between ages 6 months and 12 years old the New Bern Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting applications for toy request through the Marine Corps Reserved, Toys for Tots Program.  Registration will begin October 1st and runs through December 18th. Participants may register at the Community Resource Center, West New Bern Recreation Center or the Stanley White Recreation Center.  Social Security Numbers are required for Head of Household and qualifying children along with H.O.H Identification card.
