This division is responsible for all new construction plus the maintenance and repair of 350 miles of overhead and 160 miles of underground distribution lines. Much of the existing overhead system is over 30 years old and is being replaced with new poles and wires to improve service.
Right-of-ways are continuously cleared by our tree trimming crews. Our underground crews replace old underground cables that cause electric outages. In addition, they regularly install underground networks for new subdivisions and businesses.
If you have electric equipment in your yard, such as a utility transformer, it's important that our crews have access to it at all times. We've created a document to help customers landscape around the equipment without disturbing access. It's also important to be mindful of landscaping management, so that plants and vines don't become overgrown and cover up the equipment.
