The New Bern Police Department benefits greatly from volunteers who support the daily functions, special projects and goals of the department.
The New Bern Police Department Cititzens' Volunteers is a North Carolina non-profit that assists the police department by assisting in securing funding for our summer camp program called PACTEAM and a year-round program for older youth called Project Positive Focus.
Our volunteers also work in our 911 Center, serve as court liaisons, help with accounting, forensics, pawn shop reporting, and recruitment programs. They also greet residents and visitors as our front desk administrative staff. They help with our RUOK Program that checks on elderly and disabled in our neighborhoods. They also assist with fingerprinting, special events like National Night Out, and often work tirelessly to help with traffic control and parking at events. Our volunteers are a huge asset to the police department and to the community.
There are currently more than 50 people serving as volunteers. With their support, we're able to provide you with higher quality services and programs.
